Economic Meltdown

Well, today is September 25th, 2008 & I just witnessed a "Special Report" television break in where it was announced that a deal had been reached for the "Wall Street" bailout. Our entire economic fiasco is mind numbing. I am not personally equipped to offer a truly educated view as to whether a bailout is our best option nor can I, at this point, offer up alternatives; however, I can say with absolute certainty that an economic overhaul is imperative. What the hell has been going on? Who is responsible? Let's get it fixed & hold those responsible accountable. Isn't this what we we teach our children? Yes, it really is that simple! We are the United States of America! The UNITED States; so, let's unite & bring the brighest minds together from these UNITED states to offer up solutions to our economic woes. Heck, while we are coming together to fix this problem, let's resolve to remedy all the other things that are eating at the infrastructure of this great nation. It doesn't matter if you are a Democrat, a Republican, an Independent or if you affiliate or don't affiliate with a political party, you are an American 1st. I am an American 1st. Let's remember, as citizens, we control this country! We, as a cohesive nation need to rise up & demand reform and we need to do it with undying zeal, respect for differing opinions & tact. Yes, tact! A barrage of mud slinging accompanied by "spin" accusations will not benefit our current positions. Bad behavior disguised as passion for your party and or opinions will only complicate the possiblity of fruitful negotiations and further serve to divide us. Our voices paired with our fervent actions are our greatest means to affect results. To my family, my friends, my neighbors, my fellow veterans, my countrymen/woman, please do not be complacent!
